About us

Person centred is a phrase everyone uses. This is what we mean by it.

Whether at Home or in a Community Setting, We Provide Quality Person Centered Care and Support.

How Bspoke started

Zoe Husband started Bspoke Social Care in 2013, after years working as a registered social worker across a number of health and social care settings. She has been in the sector since 1996.

The aim of Bspoke Social Care is to deliver personal care and associated support to individuals in the home and or community environment. To provide continuity of care to an excellent standard meeting all the principles of good practice.

13 years on, it is still a small team working in and around Lincoln, which is deliberate. It is the reason we can keep the same carers going to the same people.

Our approach, in our own words

Bspoke Social Care offers a Person Centred Approach to providing care and support to individuals from diverse backgrounds. We work with individuals to build on life skills whether social, practical, financial, caring or educational focusing on Person Centred Planning. Giving the individual the right to exercise choice and be at the centre of their own support. Risk assessments are completed with the individual to identify potential risk areas and ways are agreed to minimise risk while promoting positive risk taking when making choices. As a provider we ensure that the individual, their carers and family members are involved where appropriate with the service development.

Two things in there are worth pulling out, because they are what actually changes day to day.

Positive risk taking

The safest possible life and a good life are not the same thing. We complete risk assessments with the person, agree how to reduce the real risks, and support them to keep making their own choices — including the ones we might not make ourselves.

At the centre of their own support

The support plan belongs to the person it is about. Family and carers are involved where that is what the person wants, and we build on the life skills they already have rather than doing things for them.
